BTW, there are no swimmers or sunbathers in the photos because it is the month of Ramadan and so most people are fasting and such. Oman is a VERY conservative place and so I don’t expect to see any Omani women in bathing suits. I have only seen a handful of veils in my first month here but they are even more conservative then most women I met in Iran. Omani women (even my students) have thus far refused to have their photo taken. The beaches in the capital city, Muscat, rock!
