>Well, I finally found a good church to attend, PRAISE GOD! Services are held on Fridays here as most people work Saturday-Wednesday and so Thursday and Friday are the weekend here. In Muscat, there are 2 church compounds: one in the district of Ghala and the other in Ruwi. Ruwi is more of the touristy, popular area and closer to my hotel so I went there. They have a Catholic Church (“The Peter and Paul Church”), a Coptic church and maybe even a few other flavors but I finally found a normal Protestant Church service that starts at 9:30am. The members there were extremely (somewhat and superficially) friendly and helpful. My first day of worship there happened to be OCM’s 22nd year in Oman anniversary celebration. Everyone was dressed colorfully for the event, balloons were everywhere and there were several performances to mark the occasion. Members from sister churches in Sohar and Salalah were even there to celebrate what God has done! Pastor Boyong, from the Phillipines, has been the pastor there the entire 22 years. Everyone seems to know the Bible very well; he would often ask what it says in certain verses to the members and they would all shout out the verses perfectly. Awesome!
My only concern now is that I cannot come to Muscat EVERY weekend unless I get a car. (And I cannot get a car until I get my residency visa and replace my driver’s license that was lost while on vacation in Canada!) One step at a time, I guess. In the meantime, I hope to come at least every 2nd week,.
Nevertheless, I am very thankful to have found a wonderful church in this otherwise barren land!! “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

>Praise the Lord!
>Hi Andrew: So glad to hear about the leading of the Lord in your life. I feel excitement that you have a fellowship of believers there already to meet with. Also, I love the pics of the area – it looks absolutely beautiful. I pray the presence of the Lord be manifested everywhere you go. S
>Hey, Sts Peter & Paul was the Church I used to go to. I also had friends in the Protestant Churches next door, and used to visit the thrift shop, and the Bible Society shop.
>This post needs to be updated. OCF is FAR from being a good church. I think it should stand for "Only Charismatic Foolishness" and not "Oman Christian Fellowship". The so-called preaching is absolutely horrible there and I just could not bare with hearing the Word of God unfaithfully being taught week after week. We left this church (as MANY have chosen to) years ago as the so-called pastor (who is no pastor at all) became more and more erratic and childlike. Most of the people who stay in this church are the cultlike followers of the music ministry. Many Filipinos stay in this church simply because the "pastor" is Filipino and so they are nationalistically inclined but not biblically based. The PCO is a FAR BETTER church than OCF. Period.
