My 1st (Fall) Semester Schedule

I have a pretty good schedule this semester. I have 28 students in FY12 (Foundation Year-Green on this chart) which meets 11 periods/week and 24 students in AS (Applied Sciences-Blue on this chart) which meets 6 periods/week. Each period is 50 minutes (45 minutes during Ramadan) so I only really teach a total of just over 14 hours/week. The workload is much less than any job I’ve had in a good number of years and my students are a real joy to teach so far! I am teaching Reading/Writing only this semester. FY groups are arranged in ability: FY1 being the highest group and FY14 the lowest. My FY group(12) is the 3rd lowest of 14 groups but they seem to be quick learners. AS groups are not arranged according to ability but randomly selected. “To find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him-for this is his lot. Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work-this is a gift of God.” ( Ecclesiastes 5:18-19)
