Psalm 133 in action

Joe and Rachel!! Thanks to Rachel’s birthday and their anniversary, both of which were in March, Joe and Rachel generously decided to treat a number of us to a buffet lunch at Jean’s Grill at The Sultan Center in Qurum, Muscat. They are a very devoted and servant-hearted couple at our church.

An example of just a few of the desserts available at Jean’s Grill Buffet at a little more than 2 OR (Omanis Rials) per person

Marie Tess Freo!

Brother Elle who always seems so photogenic!

Brother Bert and his wife, Janet. Another wonderful couple faithfully serving the Lord in Muscat; Bert as worship leader and Janet as organizer of the dancing ministry.

“The Cup” Easter Concert, April 3rd, 8pm at St. Thomas Church, Ruwi

The Music Director, Dr. Dev Ebenezer, welcoming the audience. Some may think it strange to have an Easter concert AFTER Easter but the true Christian realizes that Easter is not celebrated one day a year but EVERY day.

The message (like the Christmas concert) was given by Rev. Dr. Edward H Schreur. It was based on the question “Why do we call it GOOD Friday?” when we refer to the day that Christ died. And of course the simple answer is because without His sacrifice, we would all still be in our sins and separated from God for eternity.

THINE IS THE GLORY!
Thine is the glory, Risen, conquering Son;
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won.
Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away
Kept the folded grave clothes where Thy body lay.
Thine is the glory, Risen, conquering Son;
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death has won.
Lo! Jesus meets us, Glorious Prince of Life!
Lovingly He greets us, Scatters fear and gloom;
Let His church with gladness hymns of triumph sing,
For her Lord now liveth, Death hath lost its sting.
Thine is the glory, Risen, conquering Son;
Endless is the victory Thou o’er death hast won.

The concert wasn’t exactly jam-packed. I guess it’s because it was on a Tuesday night.

The pianist, Carina Krogh, who also sang a beautiful solo of “Panis Angelicus“.
