Thank God I made it back to Oman! I left Canada on the 20th of August and arrived late on the 21st.
The new job is INCREDIBLE! One quick example: My employers from last year took 3-4 months to get our Resident Card. I got my resident card with my new job in ONE DAY!!! The resident card is extremely important as you cannot do anything without it, including getting a phone hooked up or even copying your house keys!
We don’t start teaching till September 6th so we are basically taking care of administrative details and attending meetings for these first 2 weeks.
Not much to report here for now. I just wanted to let family and friends know that I’ve made it here safe and sound.
I’m really looking forward to this new, exciting chapter in my life living in Muscat, Oman!!!
