Ruins at Al Masnaah, Batinah Region

Ruins like these can be throughout the Sultanate of Oman, in different levels of disrepair.  What I found fascinating about these ruins 1 km from Musanah Castle is the fact that these ancient cannons are still lying around.  I’ve never seen that before.  You never know what you’re going to see next driving around here!

  1. I LOVE the top picture in black and white, with the goats!! 🙂

  2. Seems like a fascinating place to live! And you’re able to experience it with your family…AWESOME 😀

    • Dulcinea,
It really is a fascinating place to live! Every day is an adventure although at times it feels like every day is a challenge as well but the same could be said no matter where one lives, right?! And yes, experiencing it with my family makes all the difference in the world! Thanks for commenting! 🙂

  3. Nice pics.

You should think of organizing trips for people to join in.

Do you have the coordinates for this beautiful place?

    • Jay,
I don’t enjoy organized trips as much as traveling on my own, with the family or with 1 or 2 friends. The more people you have along, the more differing opinions about where to go and what to do. 🙂 Unfortunately, I don’t have the coordinates but it’s easy enough to find the place if you follow the directions I gave. (50 kms from the airport then follow the sign another 2.9 kms)
