The brilliant blues of the water and golden orange of the land – beautiful!
Carol,
The contrast of the golden earth and clear blues had me snapping away like a madman. Absolutely gorgeous spot!
Looks very awesome 🙂 Is it possible to go for a swim there?
Anon,
Great question! Plenty of people were swimming in the front of the dam (see part 1) but I didn’t see anyone swimming in the reservoir. I also wondered if people could swim there…
Nice, Andy!
Thanks, Cathy. Have you been to this beautiful spot yet? Worth a trip!
No, I haven’t Andy. But I don’t think I will make it back to Salalah before I leave Oman, sad to say! I can always live vicariously through you, though! 🙂
Hey, Cathy. Just to clarify – Wadi Dayqah Dam is 60 kms from Muscat in Quriyat, not in Salalah. So maybe you can make it to this spot before you leave Oman! 🙂 But of course you’re always free to live life vicariously through me…but seems that you’re living quite the life yourself. 🙂
Really?? I think I need to check out this place then! Thanks, Andy, for setting me straight! I guess I am living quite the life myself, as much as I can, but I seem to be losing energy this second year1
Anytime. Praying for your “2nd wind” to kick in! 🙂
Thanks, Andy! My husband and both sons will be arriving from Jan 1-11, so we’ll be exploring some of my favorite Oman spots once again!
That’s AWESOME that your sons will return and with your husband this time! I believe that’s what we call “answered prayer”… 😉 We also have family visiting in January. My sister-in-law will be in Oman Jan. 11-29th. We look forward to being able to show her around. BTW, Merry Christmas, my blogging friend! 🙂
Merry Christmas to you, dear Andy. Your family will be arriving right as mine are returning home. I can’t wait till they get here!! Hope you have a wonderful visit with your sister-in-law!!
Breath-taking!
Breath-taking indeed, Alice! A gorgeous place for anyone to visit if they ever get the chance to come to Oman. I hope all is well with you and the family. Blessings to you and the family during the Christmas season!
