If you are ever fortunate enough to visit Oman, make sure to visit the Bait al Zubair Museum (“The House that Became a Museum“) in Old Muscat. And if you make it to the museum, make sure you don’t leave before heading outside to see all the interesting things on display there! Of all the exhibitions at the museum, one of my favorites is the miniature Omani village they have on display outdoors.
Other points of interest outside:
“The garden features a barasti (palm frond) hut, a falaj (ancient water distribution system), a souq area, a boat display and stone houses.”
I love these beautiful old Omani doors located outside.
