Wakan Village in Wadi Mastal in the Wilayat of Nakhal

This fantastic video was published on May 17, 2013 by SNK Productions Oman.  “The village sits at 2,000 metres above sea level in Wadi Mastal in Wilayt Nakhal, located in Al Batinah South Governorate. 150 kilometres separate this village from Muscat. The road leading to the village passes through a number of valleys where the villages can only be reached by a four-wheel-drive vehicle.”

  1. Wow! That is so cool! I just went to Wekan yesterday and wrote a post about it that I was finishing up when you posted this; I posted mine a few minutes later. The weird thing is that yesterday, as we were leaving Wekan, we passed a car with some guys adjusting a camera on the front of their car. It couldn’t have been these guys though, because of the cherry blossoms in the video. We didn’t see any cherry blossoms in bloom yesterday in Wekan. What a bit of serendipity. 🙂

    • That is funny how things work out like that, huh?! I noticed your post just after I posted that and I thought to myself, “That’s funny!” 🙂

      • I know… a strange kind of serendipity. Also, I thought it really strange about those guys we saw trying to adjust that camera on the front of their car, and then you posted that video!

  2. I was going to post that! lol, you beat me to it.
