YES, a CHRISTmas Concert in Oman!!!!

Andy Brown and Barbara Dillon on the evening of Dec. 6th. Barbara is a good friend and colleague at Ibri College.

Me with the Music Director, Dr. Dev Ebenezer. I love that name, Ebenezer! It comes from 1 Samuel 7:12 and means “Stone of Help” as the Israelites recognized that their victory really came from God when defeating the Philistines.
What a FANTASTIC evening of accappella!!! They sang so many wonderful carols (some are on my facebook account) and here’s a new one I never heard before:
ONCE IN ROYAL DAVID’S CITY
Once in Royal David’s City
Stood a lowly cattle shed
Where a mother laid her baby,
In a manger for His bed:
Mary was that mother mild,
Jesus Christ her little child.
He came down to earth from heaven
Who is God and Lord of all
And His shelter was a stable,
And His cradle was a stall;
With the poor, and mean, and lowly,
Lived on earth our Saviour Holy.
Not in that poor lowly stable,
With the oxen standing by,
We shall see him; but in heaven,
Set at God’s right hand on high;
When like stars His children crowned,
All in white shall wait around.
