“Oman: Waking Up Too” – The Economist

The latest article being tweeted is about how even the peaceful and tolerant Sultanate of Oman has not gone untouched by the Arab Spring.  Click here to read it in its entirety.  It was published in The Economist titled “Oman: Waking Up Too” and subtitled “Even placid Oman is being buffeted by the Arab winds of change“.  It’s funny that it started being tweeted by Omani twitterers late on June 21st but the online report dates it being published on June 23rd.  Anyway, for those of you interested in all things Oman, it’s a fascinating read.  I hope I don’t get in any trouble in sharing this! I don’t agree with everything written in the article and of course these are not my opinions.  I simply love keeping abreast of all things written about this land that I live and work in and have come to love. (Notice the little disclaimer there!)
