“Everyday Life” (in Oman) – Weekly Photo Challenge

Everyday Life. This challenge is all about people and the things they do every day: working, eating, drinking, chatting, dreaming, walking, exercising, or any of those things we do all the time without really thinking about it. Take a walk around your neighbourhood, or around the streets where you work or study, and take a look at the people you see…You might think that your neighbourhood isn’t very interesting, but imagine that you’re giving a guided tour to someone from the other side of the world—what’s normal for you might be extraordinary to them.  Share a photo that means EVERYDAY LIFE to you!

With all that’s going on in our world today, I wanted to try and focus on the positive things of life.  There are a total of 16 pics I’ve come up with that show a bit of everyday life in Oman to me:

Chilling out with friends (in Suwaiq)

Fishing (Suwaiq seaside)

Spending time with family

More fishing (and posing!)

Buying (at Muttrah Souq)

Selling

Sight-seeing

Working (and calling)

Filming (Abdullah who I met on the Muttrah Corniche)

Serving the public and protecting the nation (with Officer Shahi of the Royal Oman Police at Musandam Port)

Playing

Meeting new people

Attempting to acquire more money for everyday expenses (such as toys and candy!)

Smiling, laughing and loving

Celebrating (It isn’t everyday that one turns 40!)

Grinning and enjoying even in the midst of everyday messes!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this short tour of what “everyday life” in Oman can be like.  Maybe now you can see why I feel so blessed with the opportunities and memories that God has given and continues to give me in this beautiful land! 🙂
