Another Great Michael Kaiser Article on the Royal Opera House Muscat

I couldn’t ask for a better background for 2 gifts from God that make my soul sing!  🙂

I shared a link to Michael Kaiser’s 1st article about Muscat’s Opera House last October.  Here is his more recent article, “Another Visit to Oman“, which was written January 9th, 2012 (just 5 days ago).  The best quote from this article comes at the end, “Such an experience reminds me that there is truly no Eastern art or Western art or Asian art, etc.  There is only art.  And great art has the power to move us because great artists speak to us no matter what the language.” Hear, hear!

Just 2 days until the 1st performance of the new season (The Vienna Philharmonic) at ROHM!  The Program is to include:  Sergei Prokofiev: Symphony No. 1, D major, op. 25, “Symphonie classique” Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto No. 1, Bb minor, op. 23 Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov: Suite from the Opera “The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevroniya” Rodion Schtschedrin: Concerto for Orchestra No. 1 “Naughty Limericks“.
